G.C.I., Inc. (originally Gulf Coast Industrial Equipment Company) was established in 1984 by John Godso as the Duriron distributor for Durco pumps, seals and valves in the Southeast. To create a full-service business concentrated on meeting the needs of his customers, Mr. Godso began to seek out distributorships that would provide the products and services industry professionals required.

In 2012, Barry Bond, a longtime employee of GCI and his wife, Janie Bond, purchased the business from Mr. Godso. GCI is committed to providing quality products and superior customer service.

Keeping equipment operating at satisfactory performance levels and identifying potential or imminent failures and their consequences is the ongoing work of reliability and maintenance professionals.
